Salt By Garett Holden
Several moments in the sun soaked in delirium of consequence and shame.
Malevolent language potent in resonance. Canyons swollen and bloated with ash and cinder, too repentant to consume truth. Doldrums twisted-tangled with bleeding lashings from a dominant force.
The darkest shade of gray milking the tit of a dog-star queen.
Salvation sours in my mouth, ears and touch.
Today in the city
is a good day,
